摘要
本文讨论研究范式的重要性、认知科学的发展历程、传统实证主义给社会科学和公共管理学科留下的困惑以及新科学发现带来的新启示。20世纪以来的生命科学、混沌力学和新量子力学的科学进展和新发现解释了我们过去实证研究中的许多困惑,给了我们突破19世纪以来以经典物理思维为主导的研究范式的启示。在面对未来的挑战下,突破线性思维、二元思维、等级思维和技术工具理性,丰富研究范式,改进研究方法,迎接新科学时代的人文和社会创新的新挑战,构建人文科学、社会科学、公共管理学科与自然科学互相支持、相互推动、互为制约的新关系,是新一代学人的重要使命。
The paper discusses the importance of research paradigms,reviews the developmental trajectory of cognitive science,the legacy and puzzles of traditional positivism for social sciences and public administration research,and the new scientific discoveries of chaos theory,life sciences research,and quantum physics.The author observes that these new scientific discoveries have actually enlightened us of new research paradigms that are more compatible for resolving social sciences problems.It is high time we made a break-through over the limitation of the traditional and classical paradigm however it had been successful,to embrace new thinking,and enrich our paradigmatic thinking to develop social sciences in the new technological era.After all,the advent of new scientific breakthroughs and new technology call for innovation in the way we think,research,and organize our social life and governance system.The future harmony of the human world depends up the balance and harmonious development of humanities,social sciences,and science and technology perse.
