摘要
文学研究论文往往针对作家作品的某一方面进行学术研究。根据彼得·纽马克的文本类型理论,通常而言,学术论文以信息型文本为主,传达学者的学术观点及思想,但文学研究论文必然会涉及文学家和文学作品,抑或直接、间接地引用原作的词句、段落片段,兼具学术性和文学性,往往是以信息型为主、结合表情型的文本;翻译策略上,以交际翻译为主,结合语义翻译。Nabokov and Cinema一文,探讨纳博科夫作品与电影艺术的关系,内含大量引文。本文从文本类型理论出发,分析其翻译方法,探究此类文学研究论文的翻译特点,使之既符合学术翻译的严谨性,又能重现文学作品语言所独有的美学价值。
Academic articles on literature usually have research on writers and their works from one aspect.According to Peter Newmark’s text type theory,academic articles are mainly composed of informative texts to deliver the scholars’academic ideas and thoughts.However,academic articles on literature inevitably involve writers and works,or quote words,sentences and paragraphs from the original works directly or indirectly.In academic articles on literature with both academic and literary nature,informative texts are the majority while expressive texts are the minority.As for translation strategies,communicative translation plays a major role while semantic translation plays a minor role.Nabokov and Cinema discusses the relationship between Nabokov’s creations and the cinematic art,including many quotes.Based on text type theory,this paper will analyze the Chinese translation of Nabokov and Cinema and explore characteristics of translating an academic article on literature,so that the translation text can not only accord with the preciseness of academic translation,but also reproduce the particular aesthetic value in the language of literary works.
