双言双语背景下的西班牙语塞音感知习得研究——方言差异性与习得普遍性

Perceptual Acquisition of Spanish Stop Consonants by Billingual and Bidialectal Students:Dialectal Differences and Acquisitional Universality

摘要 本研究针对以汉语普通话和吴方言为母语、英语为二语的中国学习者开展了三语西班牙语词首塞音感知习得实验,并分析了双言双语背景对三语语音习得的影响。结果显示,三语清塞音的感知与语音刺激的VOT值区间相关,语言间的塞音音位对立的声学特征相似性会造成学习者在认知层面假定跨语言的相似性,从而引起三语清塞音感知混淆;由于吴方言的浊塞音与西班牙语的浊塞音在声学特征上存在实际相似性,因此吴方言背景学习者更易于感知三语浊塞音。本研究揭示了双言双语背景下第三语言习得的复杂性,学习者和教学者应当厘清各语言及方言间存在的差异性与习得普遍性,充分整合并最大化利用学习者的整体语言资源。 An L3 Spanish perceptual acquisition experiment was conducted to examine the acquisition of Spanish voiced and voiceless stop consonants by Chinese learners with L1 Mandarin Chinese/Wu dialect and L2 English,and analyze the influence of learners’linguistic background on their phonological acquisition.Results show that the perception of the L3 Spanish voiceless stop consonants is related to the range of VOT values.The acoustic similarity between different phonemes causes confusion in the L3 voiceless stop consonants perception.Perception of L3 voiced stop consonants is easier for Wu dialect learners than for Mandarin learners.This may be explained by the fundamental similarity of voiced stop consonants in Wu dialect and Spanish.The study reveals the complexity of L3 acquisition against bilingual and bidialectal background.Learners and teachers need to fully understand both differences between linguistic varieties and universality of acquisition.Learners’various resources are to be integrated and maximally utilized.
