A Man Called Ove,written by Swedish writer,Fredrik Backman in 2012,tells of a story of a man called Ove,who decides not to die after failure of many times of trying commiting suicide after his wife's death.Deleuze's philosophical concept,“becoming”refers to the creative process in which one gets power from the object one is fascinated with.By studying the novel from perspective of becoming, the paper discovers why Ove gives up his idea of commiting suicide by becoming woman, where he gets the power to fight,by becoming animal, and how he manages to convert his life from ordinary to extraordinary by becoming imperceptible.Becoming is a positive process through which mental power originates, which in tur causes him to be a superhero.
