摘要
童诗翻译承担着启迪创作、丰富儿童阅读、促进儿童心智发展的重要历史使命,而童诗翻译质量堪忧,风格再造的不足甚至不当是童诗翻译最为突出的问题。本文以罗伯特·斯蒂文森(Robert Stevenson)《一个孩子的诗园》(A Child’s Garden of Verses)的汉译本为例,提出童诗翻译的风格等效再造原则,并从思想、情感和审美三方面提出实现路径:忠实再造原作蕴含的儿童观与儿童文化内涵以实现思想特质再造,把握反映原作情感倾向的关键性文体特征以再造具有相同或相应效果的阅读情感体验,运用艺术的“浅语”再造原作的语相美、语音美和意象美等审美特质,以最大程度地实现童诗翻译风格等效再造的旨归。
Children poetry’s translation is carried with the mission of inspiring Chinese children’s poetry writing,enriching children’s reading and boosting their emotional and intellectual development.However,its quality is far from satisfactory,for inappropriate even wrong reproduction of style in translation remains the most serious issue.Comparing the three Chinese versions of Robert Stevenson’s A Child’s Garden of Verses,this paper proposes a principle of equivalent style recreation,which requires translators to recreate the ideological,affective and aesthetic features of the original works,including faithfully reconstructing the view of children and children’s culture reflected in the original works,grasping the key affective stylistic features to resonate with the original readers,and using easy-to-read yet literary language to reproduce graphological,phonetic and ideological features.
