Objective:To analyze the expression characteristics of serum inflammatory factors in patients with chronic periodontitis and its clinical significance. Methods:A total of 91 patients with chronic periodontitis admitted to our hospital from March 2015 to March 2018 were enrolled in periodontitis group, and 60 healthy people were enrolled in the control group during the same period. The levels of serum inflammatory factors, including interleukin-1β(IL-1β),interleukin-6,interleukin-8,and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),were measured in all subjects involved. The changes of serum inflammatory factors in patients with different digrees of chronic periodontitis were compared before and after treatment. Results:The levels of serum IL-1β,IL-6,IL-8,and TNF-αin periodontitis group were higher than those in control group(all P<0.05).The serum levels of IL-1β,IL-6,IL-8,and TNF-αin mild group, moderate group, and severe group were lower than those before treatment. The above indexes in moderate group were higher than those in mild group before and after treatment, and those in severe group were higher than those in moderate group before and after treatment, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:The increase of serum inflammatory factors is accompanied by the occurrence and development of chronic periodontitis.Regulation of inflammatory factors is important for controlling the periodontal status of patients.
