摘要
对于"蒜"、"(韭番)"最初究竟指何物,古今注家存在着歧解。本文在梳理古注的基础上,利用审视字形、词族系联、辨明别称等诸法辨释了此二词:"蒜"原当为有瓣小蒜之称,后来才作蒜的通称,包括大蒜和小蒜;"(韭番)"原指根茎小而瓣少的本土原产蒜,是小蒜的一种。与此同时,也对一些古今误注及词典的误释进行了纠补。
Ancient and modern scholars have different interpretations on the initial meaning of "suan" and "fan".An analysis of the forms,word families and alternative names of the two Chinese written characters on the basis of ancient annotations indicates that suan originally refers to garlic cloves and fan is initially a kind of local garlic with small rhizome and little lamellas.
