摘要
关于外语教学的理论和实践日新月异,但多数理论的研究重点都在语言自身的特征上,忽视了"语言是载体"这一属性。大学英语课程不仅是一门语言基础知识课程,也是拓宽知识、了解世界文化的素质教育课程。对所有英语专业与非英语专业学生来说,英语教学中文化含量太低,不能引起学生学习兴趣,势必会影响学习效果。因此,增加英语教学中的文化含量势在必行。
The theory and practice about English teaching are increasingly various,but the important research points of most theory consist in the characteristics of language itself,and ignore the attribute that'language is the carrier'.The curriculum of English in university isn′t only a kind of basic language knowledge curriculum,but also a kind of quality-oriented education curriculum which can help students broaden knowledge and understand world culture.For most students of English-specialty and non-English specialty,the cultural composition in English teaching is low,which can′t arouse students′ interests.Therefore,it is necessary to increase cultural composition in English teaching.
