摘要
在原语中心论的影响下,追求完全与原文“对等”的译本的极端客观主义思想长期占据翻译理论话语的中心位置。因此,误译常常被一概斥为“劣译”,成为译者受到责难的原因。随着国内翻译研究范式的逐渐转变,译者主体性成为译界研究的焦点之一。误译,特别是译者有意的翻译策略导致的反映文化因素的误译也具有了重要的研究价值。文章通过对乡土小说《浮躁》英译本中出现的部分文化误译的分析,探讨了翻译中译者的主体性以及翻译的本质。
Under the influence of 搒ource text-centered theory ? absolute equivalence, a Utopia-like view, remained an unchallenged principle in traditional translation views. And accordingly, translators had been condemned for mistranslations, whatever the nature might be. With the 揷ultural turn?in Translation Studies, research on the subjectivity of the translator began coming to the fore. It follows that mistranslation, intentional mistranslation done by translators out of cultural considerations in particular, values further research. Based on some cultural mistranslations in the novel Turbulence? this paper examines the subjectivity of the translator and the nature of translation.
