摘要
“Copyleft”术语代表了以GNU/GPL一类自由软件最为核心的思想。目前对这一术语已经出现了多种不同的中文译名。它们之间不仅相互差异较大,而且有些翻译已经背离了原有术语的含义。本文根据软件分类属性,建议“Copyleft”的中文译名为“开放版权”,也可以简称为“开权”。文中最后讨论了“开放版权”可以被认为是知识产权框架下的新兴版权发展模式而有别于传统的“专有版权(Copyright)”模式,它将特别有利于公共知识或基础知识的发展以及人才的培养。
The term of “Copyleft” presents a central idea of GNU/GPL free software. However, there existed several Chinese translations on this term, which might be significantly different from its original meaning of the term. For this reason, it seems necessary to have a unified translation of this term. In 2003, the Chinese translation of “Copyleft” was proposed by the present author with pronunciations as“Kai Fang Ban Quan”, or “Kai Quan” in a short form. This note presents more discussions for justifying the use of these Chinese terms. Based on a classification of software, “Copyleft” is considered as an important mode in the framework of intellectual property, which will significantly enhance human development and knowledge development in comparison with the“Copyright”mode.
