摘要
应用语料库研究工具探讨英语课堂中教师和学生对模糊限制语的使用情况和语用功能,以及它们在促进师生交流和课堂教学中所起的作用。研究发现教师运用了多种模糊限制语,其中以直接缓和语最常使用;学生使用的模糊限制语比较单一,主要是直接缓和语。教师和学生使用模糊限制语都是为了遵守礼貌原则。教师和学生模糊限制语的使用有利于促进师生交流,有效推动课堂教学。
This study analyzes the hedges used by teachers and students in English classes with the help of corpora,their prag-matic functions and their role in facilitating teacher-student communication and classroom teaching.The result shows that both teachers and students applied hedges in class,among which the plausibility shields were used most often.The use of hedges by teachers and students in class is for the purpose of saving face,and it plays an active role in facilitating classroom interaction,participation and progression.
