摘要 美国研究型大学在其大学体系中,威望最高,影响最大。更新研究型大学的公民使命,将影响整个教育系统,更新公民使命的三个重要要素为:加强学生学习,教授参与,以及增加机构容纳力。更新大学的公民使命,使大学为社会提供直接服务的作用是实现大学与社会有效结合的途径之一。在经济全球化的今天,我国高校应借鉴美国经验,树立“以服务求支持,以贡献促共建”的新理念,使高校走向社会,立足社会,为社会服务,促进社会的发展。
