The nature of insecticides such as avilamycins and milbemycins were reviewed,including its biological activity, physiological activity,sublethal toxicity in insects,worms and mites and its application in animal and plant protection,etc..The subtle differences between the structures of avermectins and milbemycins could result in the differences between these compounds in potency,rates of resistance development and levels of cross-resistance.
