摘要
面对日益增强的内外部复杂性,已有复杂性理论主张以组织复杂性对付环境复杂性,并认为只有组织复杂性超越环境复杂性,组织才能生存与发展;在实践上越来越多的企业从对复杂性的适应,转化到了创造并利用复杂性作为竞争优势的来源。然而,组织复杂性的提高引起了诸如运营成本提高、市场影响力下降、阻碍组织的学习和"小事件"导致企业"灾变"等问题。本文认为,组织复杂性管理的核心就是组织要维持与所处环境复杂性相匹配的组织复杂性,诸如组织中哪些复杂性要增强或简化,如何增强或简化,以及如何控制、利用等,都是有待给予研究的组织复杂性的管理问题。
With ever-growing complexity,traditional complexity theory claims using complexity of organization to cope with complexity of environment,and believes that organization survives only when its complexity exceeds that of environment.In practice,more and more companies alternate their attention from adapting complexity to applying complexity for competitive advantage.However,high lever of organizational complexity may induce such problems as increasing run cost,decreasing marketing influence,obstructing organization learning and so-called insignificant event causing big or break results.This paper believes that the core of organization complexity management is to sustain a certain lever of organization complexity in order to fit environment complexity,and such questions as which complexity should be increased or decreased,how to be controlled and used,needed to be answered.
