The wool which were processed by rare earth in the dyeing processes have soft and loose hair withpure-white tone and silky luster. A few papers concerned with the mechanism of wool dyeing in the presenceof rare earth~[1,2]. However, the distribution of the combining of rare earth ions with wool toward the color andluster of woollen has not been discussed yet. In this paper, the whitening effect of Inner Mongolia goatwoolprocessed by rare earth after coarse wool were pulled out was investigated by electronic spectral ana-lysis.
