摘要
施瓦布、巴格莱、杜威都极为重视课程理论与实践问题,每个人都提出了指导当代教育者编制课程应该遵守的类似的建议。施瓦布指出,要在理论和实践之间建立更加强有力的关系,必须认识到并尊重理论和实践问题的重要性;巴格莱认为,学校的实践者几乎总是要对理论主张进行改进、修剪或完全转变,理论指导也就不决定行动;杜威则相信理论原则含有实践的或实用主义的价值。
All of Schwab, Bagley, and Dewey respected the importance of curriculum theory and practice, and each of them represented similar suggestions that should guide contemporary educators as they develop curriculum. Schwab noted that the theoretic and the practical must be understood and respected in their own right before the two can be realized. Bagley recognized that school-level practitioners almost always amend, truncate, or completely transform theoretical advocacies, so theory was to guide but not determine action. Dewey asserted that theoretic principles held practical, or pragmatic, value.
