The major poisons of catalyst in petroleum chemical industry and natural gas processing and its characters are introduced. The application and technique progress of copper group purificant in dearsenication, desulfurization, deoxygenation, dechlorination, removing carbon monoxide, etc. are introduced in detail. Development directions of copper group purificant are pointed out.
