摘要
隐喻不仅仅是一种修辞现象 ,更重要的是一种认知手段 ,它同文化紧密相关。通过对英语喻体选词的对比可以看出人类相似的生活环境和认知基础使得英汉隐喻有着许多惊人的相似之处 ;而同时由于文化差异 。
Metaphor is not only a rhetorical phenomenon but more importantly, a cognitive means, closely related to culture. Through the comparisons between the choices of English and Chinese words, it can be seen that many similarities exist between English and Chinese metaphors because of similar living environment and cognitive bases; in the meantime, because of cultural differences, there also exist evident differences.
