摘要
全球数字图书建设的实践证明:元数据在各类数字化资源的收集、整理、存取和服务中起着至关重要的作用。在我国数字图书馆的建设中,应切实重视和加强元数据的研究和应用,尽快研究、开发出专门针对中文数字文献和网络信息兼容的CNMARC和中文化都柏林核心系统,以充分利用已有的都柏林核心元数据。
The practice of digital library construction in the world has proved that the metadata has played an important role in the collection, sorting, access, and the service of various data sources. In the construction of digital libraries in China, great attention must be paid to the strenghthening of metadata research and application. CNMARC and Dublin Core Systems compatible with the Chinese data literature and network information have to be developed as soon as possible so that the existing Dublin Core can be fully utilized.
