The important meaning of development and application of bottom plat leakage magnet detection technology for storage tank were recommended. The comparison of technical feature between common non - destructive in- spection and leakage magnet detection was conducted. The principle of leakage magnet detection was mentioned. The application in site of leakage magnet detection system for storage tank bottom plate was recommended emphatically.
