摘要
农业合作社作为一种准一体化组织,既能消除过高的市场交易成本,又能避免一体化组织的过高管理成本,且能够消除外部机会主义的制约。这是合作社为什么能在西方农产品市场中占据主导地位的主要原因。但合作社可被其他的准一体化组织所替代,并且也不能消除内部机会主义的威胁,缺乏有效的激励机制,特别是我国缺乏能让农民信任并具有献身精神的企业家。这是我国农业合作社发展缓慢的主要原因。
The agricultural cooperative is a quasi-integrated organization, which can avoid unduly high costs of both transaction and management and ward off external opportunistic threats. This is the major reason why agricultural cooperatives play a leading role in the Western farm produce market. However, cooperatives can be replaced by other quasi-integrated organizations, and moreover, cannot avoid internal opportunistic threats. Lack of effective incentive mechanism and especially the shortage of credible and devoted entrepreneurs have resulted in the slow development of agricultural cooperatives in China.
