摘要
禁忌语的研究一直以来比较重视其社会心理和社会功能的研究;在进行英汉比较研究时,相对来说相似性谈得较多.但究其根本,相似性却是建立在英汉语言各自的深层文化之上的.本文从发展的观点出发勾勒出英汉语言禁忌的演进,并从英汉语言禁忌总体趋同的表象入手,揭示了英汉语言禁忌在深层文化上的本质差异.
Contrastive analysis of verbal taboos in English and Chinese is, relatively speaking, often focused on the similarity rather than on the divergence. The general trend toward similarity in the development of the two languages is yet rooted in their different aspects of deep cultures. The thesis verges on the development of verbal taboos, which leads to the expansion of its original concept and reveals the deep cultural differences behind the similarity of their representation.
