According to the definition and characteristics of modern logistics, the paper sets forth the connections and differences between freight agent and modern logistics, then discusses the necessity of developing modern logistics by railway freight agent and analyzes the advantages and problems of the development in details, to these problems, puts forwards the development countermeasures.
