PSP is a novel sulfate polysaccharide with complicate chemical structure. To investigate the chemical structure of PSP, several methods such as HPLC, enzyme degradation, partial and complete acidic hydrolysis were used to determine the sugar composition,linkage models,main chain,side chain and branch point of PSP. As a conclution, the PSP is a sulfate heterpolysaccharide. The glycosidic of PSP is of β configuration and it also has a backbone of β(1→3).
