Located in the eastern suburbs of Chengdu, the tomb belongs to Zhu Youxun(1409-1434), a prince of the royal family of the Ming dynasty. The vicissitude of nature has long erased its surface buildings away.In 1979, local archaeologists cleared the underground part of the tomb, which, axis-based, consists of the gate tower, hall, courtyard, side rooms, etc,a layout quite similar to a royal residence under the sun.Only five hundred pieces of funerary objects were yielded due to robbery in early times, and most of them were pottery including all dinds of figurines such as general, civil officer, honor guard, servant and so on. The discovery of the tomb provides tangible data for studies of the tomb system of the Ming dynasty.
