1981年7月至1982年6月(每月1次)的周年调查结果表明:福建东山湾浮游动物的种类组成较丰富,已鉴定有176种,其中,暖水种占大多数;以暖水种和暖温带种为优势,分别在夏季和冬季形成总生物量高峰;阶段性浮游幼虫,特别是短尾类溞状幼虫等在夏季总生物量高峰中占有重要地位,以及多样性指数和均匀度的季节变化较显著等,显示了亚热带河口-港湾区浮游动物生态的基本特点。此外,东山湾浮游动物总生物量、种类数及多样性指数等的平面分布规律都较明显。
176 species of zooplankton and 8 groups of major larva of meroplankton have been i-dentified in Dongshan Bay from materials collected once a month during July 1981 to June 1982. Among them warm species occupy 79%. The distribution of species number has the marked trend of extending from the mouth to the inner bay. Due to influence of both lower temperature coastal water in winter and warm water in summer alternately, there are two biomass peaks in one year of the studied waters, the winter peak is mainly formed by neritic warm temperate species and brackish-neritic species of lower temperature, and the summer peak is formed by neritic warm water species. This forms the feature of seasonal variation of zooplankton biomass in subtropic estuarine-bay water in China. The appearance of the summer biomass peak in Dongshan Bay is closer related to coastal upwelling in summer in Minnan-Taiwan Bank. According to the status of the annual horizontal distribution, the investigated water may be divided into three different waters of zooplanktonic crop, i. e. high biomasss area located in the southeast waters, mid-high biomass area in the north waters of Dashuangyu, and the lowest biomass area located in the southwest waters. Both the values of diversity (H') and evenness (J) are often higher, and their annual average values are 2. 76 and 0. 648, respectively. Their seasonal variation are marked. In summer and autumn both values are higher than in winter and spring, due to influence of abundance of species. The distribution of species in winter is more even, and the variation of both H' and J values are mainly affected by the abundance of dominant species. In general , the horizontal distribution trend of both H' and J are similar to that of the species number. This trend changes in January and August when biomass peak appears.
