摘要
研究了掺铒TeO2 ZnO PbCl2 碲酸盐基氧卤玻璃在 977nm激光二极管抽运下的发光和上转换发光特性 ,结果发现除红外 1 5 3μm4 I1 3 2 →4 I1 5 2 发光外 (荧光半高宽高达 6 9nm) ,该玻璃还存在很强的2 H1 1 2 →4 I1 5 2 ( 5 2 7nm) ,4 S3 2 →4 I1 5 2( 5 4 9nm)和4 F9/2 →4 I1 5/2 ( 6 6 6nm)可见上转换发光 .应用Judd Ofelt理论计算得到玻璃强度参数Ωt(t=2 ,4 ,6 )分别为Ω2 =5 87× 10 - 2 0 cm2 ,Ω4 =2 0 8× 10 - 2 0 cm2 ,Ω6 =1 16× 10 - 2 0 cm2 ,计算了铒离子跃迁振子强度、自发辐射概率、荧光分支比、荧光寿命等光谱参量 .应用McCumber理论计算得 1 5 3μm处的玻璃受激发射截面可达 8 75× 10 - 2 1 cm2 实验结果表明 ,与硅酸盐玻璃、磷酸盐玻璃、氟化物玻璃等比较 。
We report on fluorescence and upconversion emissions of Er3+ -doped TeO2-ZnO-PbCl2 tellurite-based oxyhalide glasses under 977nm laser diode excitation. A strong 1.53mum emission from I-4(13/2 -->) I-4(15/2) transition with a full width at half maximum of similar to 69 nm, and three intense infrared - to - visible upconversion emissions at 524, 546 and 668 nm, corresponding to H-2(11/2) --> I-4(15/2), S-4(3/2) --> I-4(15/2) and F-4(11/2) --> I-4(15/2) transitions of Er3+ ions, respectively, have been observed under 977nm excitation and the mechanisms involved have been explained. The intensity parameters Ohm(t) (t = 2,4,6) of Er3+ -doped TeO2-ZnO-PbCl2 oxyhalide glasses have been calculated according to the Judd-Ofelt theory, and the results are Ohm(2) = 5.9 x 10(-20) cm(-2), Ohm(4), = 2.1 x 10(-20) c(m-)2 and Ohm(6) = 1.2 x 10(-20) cm(-2), respectively. The emission cross-section has also been calculated from the absorption crosssection and the emission spectrum by using the McCumber theory. The maximum emission cross-section is 8.75 x 10(-21) cm(-2) at 1.53mum. Our results indicate that TeO2-ZnO-PbCl2 oxyhalide glasses are promising candidates for optical amplifiers and upconversion lasers in comparison with the glasses such as silicate, phosphate, and fluoride glasses.
