Common Zinc/MnO2 battery replaced by Hg free alkaline Zinc/MnO2 battery is becoming the trend of development in all world. Quality of Zinc powder and gassing test methods were introduced, which include: types of Hg free Zinc powder、 metal components、partical size ard so on. Electrical properties and storage performance of battery made of above mentioned Hg free Zinc powder were presented. The article believed that Hg free Zinc powder market in China will progress quickly along with the Chinese battery industry.
