语言禁忌是各个民族共有的社会现象,几乎存在于日常交际的各个方面。本文比较中英在禁忌方面异同,并从社会文化背景方面谈到了禁忌语的发展和避免使用禁忌语。
Verbal taboo, which exists in almost all aspects of our daily communication, is a common phenomenon.The paper compares the differences and similarities of language taboos between English and Chinese, talks about the development of verbal taboo under specific culture background, and gives some advice on how to avoid using“taboo language”.
