摘要
分析了图像的小锥形分解后所存在的层内和层间信息冗余,并用层内和层间结构约束矩阵来描述这些分量之间的联系。利用结构约束矩阵,可以在通常矢量量化的基础上将码率进一步压缩。
In this paper it is pointed out that the wavelet pyramidal decomposition of an image still has both intra and extra-layer information redundencies. The intra-layer and extra-layer structure constraint matrices are suggested to describe the relations between the different decomposed components. Computer simulation shows that based on this concept, further bit rate reduction of the normal vector quantizaton to an image may be around 2/3.
