摘要
全国大学英语四、六级考试历时 1 6载 ,为推动我国的大学英语教学、提高学生的英语水平都起到了一定的积极作用 ,但同时也造成了诸多负面影响。本文根据第二语言习得理论和现代语言测试理论 ,指出了四、六级考试在效度和题型两方面存在的弊端 ,然后从三个方面详细探讨了考试对大学英语教学带来的负面影响以及造成这些影响的深层原因 ,最后提出了具体的改进建议。
This paper points out the weakness and problems that are found present in current College English Test Band 4/6 (CET4/6) in China, stating that both validity and item types in use are the most obvious problems in CET4/6 on the basis of modern language testing theories. Next, the paper discusses the negative influence of CET4/6 on College English teaching and learning in three respects, and then explains the deep rooted causes for such a negative influence. Finally, the paper sets forth some advice on how to solve the problems in order for CET4/6 to achieve a beneficial backwash effect on both teaching and learning.
