摘要
本文依据最新野外观察结果，就遗鸥分类地位所遗留的问题作了阐述，澄清了以往在有关该种与棕头鸥、渔鸥关系上的推论，并对遗鸥的形态特征、地理分布等方面作了进一步的分析研究，论证了遗鸥是一个有效的种。
The Relict Gull Larus relictus, since described by Lonnberg in 1931,has been raising different opinions concerning its taxonomic status (Lonnberg,1931a, 1931b; Dement'yev & Gladkov, 1951, Vaurie, 1962 ). Batal upon thespecimens from the breding flock of the bird at Alakol lake in Kazakhstan ofthe former USSR, Anezov (1971 ) suggested that it Aught be treated as a seperatesopes.
