Three hundred Chinese young male soldiers who usually lived in plain region, were randomly divided into three groups: Qi-Gong group, Dang-sen and exercise group. The men in Qj-Gong and exercise for 8 weeks before going to Tibet plateau, while the men of Dangsen group take Dangsen continuously for 5 days before going to Tibet plateau. All men were measured to blood pressure, temperature at 'Lao-gung' point of left hand, microcirculation of nail fold and tongue apex. The conclusion which Qi-Gong can mobilize the potentiality of human body is obtained from the results in the study. Their mechanism may be related to two factors: One is that various symtoms of plateau hypoxia were decreased by regulation of automicrocirculation, another is that suit-capacity of human body were strengthened and suit-time were shortended by improvement of microcirculationary disorder. We consider that Qi-Gong is a good exercise method which is simple, convenient, and is popular in the army.
