高迁移率族蛋白B1的生物学效应及在几种疾病发病中的作用 被引量:12

摘要  既往,高迁移率族蛋白B1被认为是典型的非组蛋白,参与核小体结构的构建及稳定,并参与基因转录及DNA重组、修复和复制。近些年的研究表明,在特定情况下,高迁移率族蛋白B1可释放于细胞外,发挥广泛的细胞学效应,同时发现,在几种重要疾病的发病过程中高迁移率族蛋白B1发挥了关键的作用,这些发现使其备受关注。本文拟就高迁移率族蛋白B1的基本特征及其广泛的生理作用与病理效应做一综述。 High mobility group protein box 1 (HMGB1), a protein previously known as a nonhistone chromosomal protein, has been implicated in cellular functions, including maintenance of nucleosomal structure and stability, and binding of transcription factors to their cognate DNA sequences.In recent years, many investigations showed that HMGB1 can function as an extracellular cytokine and contribute to cell differentiation, transference,regeneration and inflammation genesis .Also, it is implicated in genesis of some severe diseases, such as tumor, atherosclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and lethal systemic inflammation reaction syndrome.Here the diverse physiological functions and pathological effects of HMGB1 are reviewed.
