Molecular Mechanism of Sweat and Waxy Maize

摘要 介绍玉米胚乳淀粉合成生化途径中几个关键酶的活性受基因突变的影响,表现甜质或糯质性状的分子机理,进而对甜、糯玉米育种提出了几点建议或设想。 In this paper, the molecular mechanism was introduced that the key enzymes during biochemical approach of starch synthesis in maize endosperm were inactivated by gene mutations and performed as sweat or waxy characters. Sugges tions and imaginations were made for maize breeding of sweat and waxy varieties.
