摘要
在众多的数据库产品中,IBM的DB2数据库和Oracle数据库是当今世界最好的数据库产品,而在数据仓库技术方面也是各有千秋。本文根据数据仓库的任务、特点和应该具备的关键能力,对DB2和Oracle两大数据库的数据仓库技术在索引能力、数据分区、仓库管理器等方面进行了对比研究。
In many database products, IBM DB2 database and Oracle database are two of the best database proauct. The both of them have much advantage on the data warehouse technicality. In this paper, to introduce the tasks and the features and the key capability of the Data Warehouse Technicality, then to compare the difference between IBM DB2 database and Oracle database on the bitmap indexes ＆ bitmap join indexes and the data partitioning and the warehouse manager.
