摘要
该文论述尤金.奈达翻译理论中的equivalence这个术语的涵义,同时评论长期盛行于中国译论界的三个错误观点:1.equivalence或equivalent即“等值”;2.“Equivalence Rather Than Identity”的译文是“对等而非同一”;3.人文社会科学中的“对等”即“大体对等”。
This paper explains the meaning of the term “equivalence” in Nida’s translation theory and makes comments on the three wrong views that have been existing in China‘ s translatinal circle for more than 20 years. 1. “equivalence” or “equivalent” is identical to “等值”; 2. The translation for “Equivalence Rather Than Identity” is “对等而非等同” 3. The Chinese “对等” is the same as “大体对等” when it is used in social sciences and humane studies.
