The stern-slipway launch and retrieval system for daughter boat （LARS for short hereafter） is a new technology in China. Compared with tradition equipment, the LARS has obvious advantages of quick operation, safety and possibly using in bad weather. The initiate LARS in China is introduced about its design, testing as well as its features and applications in the future.
