摘要
第一部分描写顺平(高于铺)话中由轻声引发的逆向连读变调,发现其中有些字单念无别变调有别,且与古音清浊对应。第二部分根据这种连读变调探求轻声产生的年代,结论是中唐至北宋时期。
This paper consists of two parts. The first part is a description of a retrogressive tone sandhi triggered by neutral tone in Shunping （Caoyupu） dialect. It is found that some identical citation tones differ in tone sandhi and such differences correspond to the distinction between voiceless vs. voiced initials in the ancient phonological system. The second part attempts to find the time when neutral tone started. The conclusion is that neutral tone arose sometime between mid Tang and Northern Song.
