摘要
在查阅英文文献资料时会遇到英语名词复数意义的理解与翻译的问题:往往在翻译某些英语名词复数时,会忽略名词复数变义的问题,只是单纯把它们当作复数概念来看待。在英语中有很多名词由单数形式变成复数形式时词义发生了变化,有时变义还不止一个。本文通过收集和阅读,从中总结归纳出几点名词复数变义的规律,以此来充实英语名词复数变义的理解方式,为英语读者和同仁们提供了一份学习参考资料。
When we consult the English references, we often meet the problems about the comprehension and translation of the alternative meanings in special plural nouns. We sometimes overlook the alternative meanings in these special plural nouns and treat them as the normal plural forms of nouns when we translate them. In English, there are several nouns which have alternative meanings when they are changed into plural forms. In the thesis the author does some research in this field and sums up some rules about the alternative meanings in special plural nouns. The author hopes this thesis can enrich the ways to understand the alternative meanings in special plural nouns and can help the English readers.
