摘要
本文从提高我国高等学校教学质量大处着眼，对大学英语教学改革进行思考，认为对英语教学要进行合理定位，把握“英语综合应用能力”的内涵，善用现代教育技术，大学英语教学与专业学习之间要建立起联系，发挥大学英语四、六级考试对教学的正面导向作用。推进大学英语教学改革是为了实现提高我国高等学校教学质量这一目的，服务于为国家培养造就高素质创新型人才的大局。
This paper discusses various issues in college English teaching： the status of English in China＇s educational system, students＇ ability to use the English language, the application of computer technology, the link between language learning and academic studies, and the impact of College English Test Band 4 and Band 6 on classroom teaching. The author relates the current reform in college English teaching in China＇s universities to the drive to improve the quality of higher education in the country, and sees the reform measures as instrumental to the training of the young generation with innovative spirit for China＇s future.
