摘要
在国内外网格模型化简的研究成果上,分析了各种典型算法的优缺点,并指出了数字几何处理中网格模型化简的研究方向,即如何对网格进行有效的分块;研究更有效的误差控制方法;寻找更高效的、适用于各种形状和物体的网格简化方法;希望新的有效算法不仅能保持网格的几何形状,还能保持物体的外观属性.
Based on the latest achievements about mesh simplification at home and abroad, the paper analyed the advantages and disadvantages of various typical algorithms, and pointed out the future development of mesh simplification in digital geometry processing, i.e., how to effectively separate meshes; to research and work out more effective error-reducing methods; to seek out more effective mesh simplification methods which are applicable to various shapes and objects; to maintain the geometrical shapes of meshes and the outer properties of objects through new algorithms.
