Progress and assessment of early detecting methods for dental caries

摘要 本文对龋病早期诊断的重要性、要求、传统诊断方法的优缺点作简要叙述。同时介绍了目前新的诊断方法包括增强肉眼光学检查、龋病的电测定、光纤维透照技术、放射减影、激光荧光检查方法以及定量光导荧光技术并进行评价。 This paper details the current techniques for the detection of early caries using non-invasive techniques, namely enhanced visual methods, subtraction radiography, fiber optic transillumination ( FOTI ) , laser fluorescence methods (LF) , electric conductance measurement (ECM) , and quantitative light fluorescence (QLF). In addition to description about how each of the modalities function, consideration is given to recent advances and changes in the relevant technologies, and a comparison of relative benefits and shortfalls of the systems including suggestions for the extended application of these system.
