Through an in-depth analysis of the development trend of railways in the world and elaborating on the significance of accelerating the railway development in our country, the article makes a summary on the great achievement of railway reform and development since the sixteenth national congress of CPC and dissects the gap between China railway and that in developed countries, identifying the direction to realize the scientific and harmonious development of China railway.
