摘要
在图像增强的基础上,对得到的二值图像进行处理从而得到特征图像,对特征图像进行水平扫描与垂直投影并结合车牌的先验信息来确定正确的车牌区域,实验结果表明该方法能够正确快速地定位车牌区域。
Fast and accurate location of vehicle license plate is very important step in license plate recog- nition . Based on the image enhancement , the character image will be found by processing the binary image acquired and then the accurate license plate region will be found by horizontal scanning and vertical projection to the binary image with the transcendental information. Large amounts of experimental result demonstrate that the algorithm can fast and accurate locate license plate region .
