Abstract The paper describes the functions and special features of the “General Use Soft Ware Package for Optimizing the Operation of Fossil Fired Power Plants”, and taking actual operating conditions of 7 generating sets in a certain power plant as an example, demonstrates how to optimize the electrical and thermal load distribution as well as that of the feed water supply.
