The relationship between heat transfer and flow stream in shell side is described simply in this article.The en- hanced heat transfer mechanism of Helical baffle heat exchanger is analyzed.The availability of solving engineering problems by using Helical baffle heat exchanger instead of segmental baffle is stated in detail by taking an oil refining unit as the example.
