摘要
近两年出现的长尾理论其主要理念对构筑新的互联网服务模式有很大的启发作用。由于图书馆与网络的密切联系，长尾理论也引起图书馆人员的研究兴趣。文章介绍了长尾理论产生的背景，解释了为何把高校图书馆与长尾理论联系起来，并概括出长尾理论对高校图书馆信息服务的启示。
The long tail theory is enlightened to building a new Internet services mode. Because of many similarities between the library and Internet, the library staff begins to attract interest in the study. This paper introduces the background, perspective of the theory, and explains why we should contact university library with the long tail theory, and summarizes the inspiration of the long tail theory on the university library Information service.
