摘要
糖尿病是一种由于内源性胰岛素相对或绝对不足而引起的糖代谢紊乱的疾病。糖尿病导致的死亡人数在发达国家已经列心脑血管疾病、癌症之后第3位,因此迫切需要开发有效的治疗方法。天然产物具有丰富的降血糖化合物,为糖尿病的预防和治疗提供了新方法和新途径。
Diabetes mellitus is a complex metabolic disease characterised by glucose overproduction and under- utilisation. As the incidence of diabetes expands rapidly across the globe there is an urgent need to expand the range of effective treatments. Natural products provide therapeutic opportunities and a rich source of potential hypoglycemic components.
