摘要
目前翻译界对于翻译的"忠实原则"颇有微词,甚至加以严厉批判。无论翻译理论如何发展变化,"忠实于原文"是最基本的原则。抛开这一原则,任"译者"任意发挥,将不再属于翻译范畴。以源语文本为基础,译者对原著进行文学和文化上的再创造,既要对译出的语言负责,又要对其文化上的传承负有责任,这永远都是翻译的立足之本。
In the study of translation today,there is/tuite some criticism on the theory of Being Faithful to Source Text.This paper suggests that no matter how advanced the study of translation develops, being faithful to source text is the root of translation.Putting this principle aside,the translator does the translation at will,which should not belong to translation.Based on source text,translators do the literature and culture recreation of the original language,responsible not only for the literate convey of the source text,but also for the cultural pass-on, this should always be the basic principle oftraslation.
